Let’s talk -Time to Talk Day run by Time to Change- Thursday 5 February 2015

Time to Talk Day run by Time to Change, an anti-stigma campaign led by mental health charities Mind and Rethink Mental Illness. They aim to empower people with mental health problems to feel confident talking about them without facing discrimination and highlight the little things you can do to help those you care about. They’re asking the nation to take five minutes on the 5 February to have a conversation about mental health. Last Time to Talk Day lots of schools took part in running activity in form time, a class or assembly and this year we have lots of suggestions to help make your five minutes count. The Time to Talk Day pack to support your activity is available to http://www.time-to-change.org.uk/timetotalkday (pre-order online now)
Whether that’s a chat over a cuppa, a text or call or remembering to invite them out – all these things can really make a difference to someone experiencing a mental health problem. They’ve also developed a number of resources we can use in the workplace as well as some top tips on how to talk about mental health and support the campaign.
