Reay House Library health promotion collection is one of the largest in London and contains approximately 350 items. The collection ranges from DVDs, CD-ROMS, 3D displays, models, games to charts. In support of World Mental Health Day London South Bank University (LSBU) is hosting an interactive afternoon on Mind Matters- 8th October 2014 of inspirational speakers, panel discussions and theatre to put in the spotlight the importance of ‘Mind Matters’. Gary Beadle, best known for playing Paul Trueman in EastEnders and Gary Barwick in Operation Good Guys, will be one of the actors taking part in a reading of a the screenplay ‘Mental’. I hope you have seen previous communication about our First Annual General Meeting. I am keen to encourage you to attend the event on the afternoon of Wednesday 24th September at Coin Street, 108 Stamford Street, London, South Bank, London SE1 9NH. Light refreshments will be served from 12.30pm. The event will run from 1.15pm – 3.00 pm with networking until 4.00 pm.
The main focus will be on clinical leadership. Local GP, Dr Clare Gerada, recently published in Pulse’s Power 50 list as “Rockstar GP with wide appeal” will deliver a keynote speech.
