Emergency Support Scheme consultation
The Government is abolishing the current system of discretionary Social Fund grants and loans administered by the Department of Work and Pensions. These will be replaced by local welfare assistance schemes (run by local authorities) that will replace Community Care Grants and most Crisis Loans. This will be effective from 1 April 2013.
We have limited funding available so want to make sure that any new system we introduce in Lambeth is fair and transparent
You can complete an online questionnaire by going to www.lambeth.gov.uk/emergencysupportscheme or contact us in any of the following ways. Paper copies of the questionnaire are available on request.
